Con: Iraq War

Bush needs to run war more like a business

President Bush is continuing to denounce any sort of time table for withdrawal, or even a time table for milestones. I understand that we don't want to give the enemy any more knowledge than we have to, but not having milestones to reach is just insane.

Every good business knows they need to have goals to reach. Even if they don't meet all of the milestones, the employees need to have something to work towards. It terms of the Iraq War, the citizens of Iraq are the employees. If a time line was made public, they would know somewhat of what to expect, they would even try and help out with making these milestones. The Iraqi people need to know what to do to make their country better. Leaving them in the dark does more damage than letting the enemy have our overall plan.

The Iraqi people are the ones in the position to help us the most. If we give them information on what they need to do, they will do it. Most of them want a stable country. Iraqis know if the insurgents win, Iraq will only know chaos. And with a country torn apart, Iraq's neighbors, such as Iran, would gain too much influence and most Iraqis don't want that. So, give the Iraq people what they need, information on how to help win their country back.
